Membership
Types & Fees:
- What types of memberships are available? We offer two categories of membership, tennis and social. Each category offers individual, couple, and junior memberships, with special rates for certain age groups. All memberships are annual memberships (no monthly options). - What are the membership fees? Our competitive fees provide excellent value. See a detailed breakdown of fees here. Please note that to be eligible for a couple membership, both adults must be in the same membership category.
- What payment options are available? Payment by credit card is preferred. Payment by credit card is preferred.
Joining:
- Join online! Visit our membership page and complete the application form.
- Is there a waiting list? A waiting list may exist at certain times. Please contact the club for current information.
- Can I visit the club or have a trial membership? Club tours can be scheduled by contacting the General Manager. Trial memberships are not offered. Guests are welcome when invited and accompanied by a member.
Membership Benefits & Policies:
- What does my membership include? Your tennis membership includes access to all club facilities, including the pool, tennis courts, locker rooms, bar, and restaurant, as well as selected social and tennis events. Lessons, clinics, camps, and special events have additional fees. Your social membership includes all of the above with the exception of the tennis courts.
- Can I bring guests? Yes, guest fees apply for pool and court use. Guests must be registered, accompanied by a member at all times, and abide by club rules, including the dress code. The same guest may not use the courts or pool more than three times per season.
- Are there rules for using the Club? Yes, all members and guests must follow the MTC Rules and Policies.
Tennis
Court Reservations:
- How do I reserve a court? Reserve courts online through the MTC App, our web-based court booking system, or by contacting the bar.
- How are court closures due to rain communicated? Court closures are posted on the MTC app and website on the court booking page. Affected reservations will be canceled, and members will be notified by email.
- What are the booking time limits? Singles: 60 minutes. Doubles: 90 minutes.
- How many court reservations can I hold at the same time? Members may play more than once per day, however, the reservation for any additional games can only be made up to two hours in advance of the subsequent reservation’s start time.
- How far in advance can I book a court? As of 8am the day before. For example, bookings for Friday become available as of 8am on Thursday morning.
- Are there cancelation fees? Yes, see section 14.4 of the MTC Rules.
- When do courts open at the start of the season? The courts gradually open as weather allows, usually late April or early May.
- When do courts close at the end of the season? The courts closures gradually start when the weather turns, usually early November.
Lessons & Programs
- Are tennis lessons available? Yes, we offer lessons, clinics, and junior programs for all skill levels. Register online!
- Are there leagues or tournaments? Leagues and tournaments are held throughout the year. See our Tennis events page, or join the Flex league!
Court Information:
- What is the court surface? We have nine Har-Tru courts.
- Are kids allowed on all courts? Juniors under 13 are allowed on courts 7, 8, 9. Exceptions may be made based on court availability at the discretion of the general manager.
- Is all-white tennis attire mandatory? No! We love to wear colors at MTC. However, the MTC dress code applies at all times.
Pool
Schedule:
- When is the pool open? The pool is usually open from the May long weekend to mid-September, weather permitting.
- What are the pool hours? Pool hours vary seasonally. Check the MTC app or the newsletter for current hours.
Safety and Regulations:
- Are there lifeguards? Lifeguards are on duty whenever the pool is open. As per Montreal regulations, the pool cannot be used without a lifeguard on duty.
- Are there rules for using the pool? Yes, all members and guests must follow the MTC pool rules.

Is the pool heated? Yes - the pool is a salt water pool heated to 84F.
Dining
Kitchen:
- What are the kitchen hours? Kitchen hours vary seasonally. Check the MTC app or the weekly newsletter.
- When does the kitchen close? The kitchen typically closes as of the third week of September, depending on weather.
- Can I order takeout or delivery? Members may bring their own food when the kitchen is closed. No outside food is permitted when the kitchen is open.
F&B Minimum Spend:
- How does the minimum Food & Beverage amount work? There is an annual minimum amount that you must spend on food and beverages at the club. While not prepaid, if you do not meet the minimum by the end of the year, the difference will be charged to your account.
- Can I buy bottles of wine or other alcohol to take home at the end of the season to spend my minimum food and beverage amount? No. Unopened alcoholic beverages cannot leave the premises to comply with the Club’s alcohol permit.
Private Events:
- Can I host a private event? Yes, contact the General Manager to discuss private events. All private events must be sponsored by a member.

- Where is the club located? We are located at 4225 Av. Royal, Montreal.
- What are the club hours? Club hours vary seasonally. Regular hours are 7am to 11pm on weekdays and 8am to 10pm on weekends.

App:
- How do I download the MTC app? Download the MTC app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Account:
- What is my member number? Your 4-digit member number is used to log in to the members' area of the website. It is found in your membership welcome package. Reach out to [email protected] for assistance.
- I forgot my password. How can I retrieve it? Click "Forgot Password" on the login page and enter your member number to receive a password reset email.
